The fee of $70 covers the RENTAL OF THE DVM GOWN, trimmed in gray velvet, as well as a black octagon rental tam with gray band and attached old gold silky tassel. Students have the option to purchase online a souvenir tassel to keep. Hoods are owned and distributed by SCAVMA and must be returned after commencement. Students may pre-purchase a new DVM hood for $169 by checking the option below.
Regalia will be distributed together as a group pressed and ready to wear directly after your exit meeting on Tuesday, the day prior to Commencement. You must return the gown, hood and tam/tassel immediately following Commencement or you may purchase the gown for $299 and tam/tassel for $45. Students will be charged full price for the gown and tam/tassel if not returned after the commencement where directed in the MSC ballroom.
Order by March 31 to avoid a $25 late fee THAT WILL BE ADDED TO the individual shipping costs. Shipping and handling is added to your total cost to cover the cost of shipping and handling to and from The University.
Specify May 1 as "Date Order Needed' at checkout. Your regalia will not in any way be delivered to you on that date - it will be delivered pressed and ready to wear directly after your exit meeting the day prior to commencement.
